According to this interview with Firas Zahabi Jonny “Bones” Jones has begun training at a very storied MMA camp that is the place that GSP calls home. I think this kid is an absolute stud and is going to really make some noise in the next year in the UFC.
A fighter who sports a wrestling pedigree and tremendous striking is definitely going to be someone that people are afraid of and I think this move shows how serious Jon Jones is about improving his game. An already dangerous fighter who is now going to train with the best, keep your eyes peeled.
I also got a chance to briefly speak with Jon at the 101 show as I was on my way back to the concession stand to pawn my watch in order to buy another 10 dollar beer. Don’t worry I wasn’t on the clock as we are definitely not big time enough to get credentialed at the UFC yet. Jon is a cool guy and we hope to get a chance to do an interview with him soon.
Keep up the great work Jon, the casual fan may not know who you are now, but they will soon enough.
According to numerous sources Josh Barnett has tested positive for banned substances and is off the Fedor fight. M-1 Affliction has to be more than upset about this development and will be scrambling to set up a fight for Fedor.
So who does he fight now?
