Featured Fighter Interview | Will Kuhn (X3 Sports) Professional record 5-3

We got a chance to speak with Will Kuhn who will be fighting heated rival Jeff Boudreaux this Saturday night at Wild Bills Fight night 29. Will is an exciting up and coming fighter who will be sure to put on a great fight on Saturday Night.

NextMMAFighter : Will, thanks for taking the time to talk to us, why don’t you tell us about your next fight.

Will Kuhn : Ive been training hard and I am ready to fight. I cant wait to get in the ring on Saturday night at Wild Bills.

NextMMAFighter : There’s some animosity between you guys. Where did this come from?

Will Kuhn : I think most of the animosity is on his side. I think its just from our previous fights being canceled.

NextMMAFighter : You have been fighting pretty regularly this year. Do you think his ring rust will play a part in the outcome?

Will Kuhn : I don’t think so. Jeff has had a really good camp and I’m sure he will be well prepared

NextMMAFighter : You have an underrated ground game, getting most of your wins by submission, but Jeff has been competing and has his purple belt in BJJ. How do you keep the game in your world?

Will Kuhn : Ive fought a Gracie Barra Brown belt along with a state champion wrestler winning both fights. With that being said, Jeff is probably the best at Wrestling and BJJ together, so ill just have to keep it standing and punch him in the face.

NextMMAFighter : Who do you train your BJJ and wrestling with?

Will Kuhn : I have my blue belt under Steve Headden, but I am currently training both Wrestling and BJJ at X3 sports in Marietta.

NextMMAFighter : Who do you train your standup with?

Will Kuhn : Along with my ground game, I also work my standup at X3 sports.

NextMMAFighter : 2 guys you have losses to in the past are now training partners, Patrick Mandio and Steele Mc Call, is that right? What brought you to X3?

Will Kuhn : Yeah its great to be able to train with those guys now. We all train at X3 for the same reason, good training partners and great instructors.

NextMMAFighter : Name the top 3 guys at 170 in Georgia. How do you get to the top?

Will Kuhn : I’m not quite sure how I can answer that besides fighting my way to the top. Who knows, maybe there will be a 170 grand prix and we will all find out. I would definitely fight in that tournament!

NextMMAFighter : You’ve fought quite a bit this year already; do you have anything lined up after this?

Will Kuhn : After this fight, I plan to take a break till fall and set something up then. As they always say, one fight at a time.

NextMMAFighter : Thanks again for talking to us. Do you want to take the opportunity to thank anyone?

Thanks to all my friends, training partners and everyone at X3 Sports for helping me get ready for this fight.
