About
We’re a small group of hardcore MMA fans, just like yourself, who want to spread the word about up-and-coming talent in the Southeast region (and any other place we can get to see a fight). If you’re a promoter, a gym rep, or just a fan and there’s a fighter you think we should know about, give us a heads up at Jeremy@nextmmafighter.com
Please also keep in mind that we are a semi-satirical bunch of jackasses who look to deliver quality information with a bit of an edge. In the end, our goal is to push quality Mixed Martial Arts fighters to the forefront of the MMA scene and to have a good time doing it.

Matt, did Pat win over the past weekend? We still haven’t gotten the official results from the “Stacked” event
Is there an email we can contact you at with some information?
Pat is know 4-0 all knockouts under a minute. Just google Pat Bennett mma its against jarret capera.
his last fight was against Juliano Coutinho, who is a world champion gracie bjj blackbelt. Pat knocked him out in round 1. I think he is fighting next weekend twice.

Hey, your site is a great source of info. I am sure you’re aware that MMA is now legal in South Carolina, and we do have some excellent events going on here as well! You might want to check my blog for more information about our SC fighters and events. Shameless promotion aside, I enjoyed the site and will add you to my blog roll! Thanks
@Molly
Thanks for the heads up Molly, hopefully we will get to see you soon at a fight in South Carolina!
Mr. Oscar: Iread the article you wrote in reference to Erica Taylor versus Stephanie Stafford bout Saturday March 13th 2010. I am a retired former Professional World Champion (WKA) naturally I know what I am writing about.
Erica Taylor weighed in at 114lbs and Stephanie Stafford weighed in at 135lbs, Erica’s opponent Amanda Edmunds cancelled at the last minute so in order for Erica to fight was to accept an exhibition bout with Stafford. That’s why you saw the refree seperating the fighters. As well Erica has a total of 5 fights versus the 14 (7-7) of Staffords. So when you are writing an article about a fighter, maybe you should know the circumstances and conditions. Sincerely David “Cobra” Barber 32 times undisputed & undefeated WKA World Champion.
David: We can’t claim to be complete experts so I’ll concede to you knowledge about the particulars of this fight. Was just calling it like I saw it. Thanks for correcting this for us.
You need to make a correction. Alex Brooks vs Kalino Yap should be “Yap wins by unanimous decision” NOT Brooks wins by decision. I’ll accept your apology in writing. I was the one yelling the most, loudest & longest.
Our apologies to Kalino, its corrected!
David “The Cobra” Barber,
I used to train under you many years ago in Brunswick with the Budweiser Team. I came across your name after sharing stories of “the olden days” with my son, who is 7 years old and a 1st Degree Level 2 Blackbelt. I would love to have a chance to see you and catch up with you sometime if you come through Macon. Look me up, I am in the book.
We have a cage match coming up Sep. 25th I would like to talk to u about it..
David Johansen. If you have any proof of David Barber actually ever being a “world champion” please inform us. Alot of people in the state of GA are trying to find some proof that he is more than just a fraud.
Ben, I also trained under David. I’ve seen the magazines and all the other paraphernalia that go with being a world champion. While David is not a perfect human being, he is one hell of a fighter. Most of the people I witnessed him fight were not in the same caliber as David – not even close. David was always relaxed in the ring and scored massive damage as often as he cared to. I’m sure the guys were good fighters in their own right but, in the ring with David, they looked like total amateurs by comparison. I have no doubt that David’s title was legit.
Hey, anyone looking to fight or have fighters! Im throwing another show Jan 22nd in Kennesaw, GA. Its an all ammy mma and muay thai event. Shoot me an email or check out my site. justin.hardknox@yahoo.com blackandblueentertainment.com
Thx- Justin
I have had the honor of fighting an exibition with mr barber, as I am a retired kickboxer myself. I trained under atlas jesse king. So yes david is a very legit and a very talented fighter.
Any info on when Tim Stout is fighting again?
WANT TO FIGHT?? I HAVE 10 PROAM SHOWS A YEAR IN GA AND TENN. BLACK N BLUE ENT. SEND ME YOUR INFO JUSTIN@BLACKNBLUEENTERTAINMENT.COM
To those whom try to claim I am a fake/fraud, I have more than enough evidence I am in fact a retired (59 years old) 32 times undisputed & undefeated professional world kickboxing champion. What you are attempting to do is destroy my background after some 50 years of being in the Martial Arts. Look at the Museum of Sports Karate, the Future Martial Arts Hall of Fame, the http://www.worldwidedojo.com and if that isnt enought evidence, then I am hundreds of thousands of Grandmasters, Masters, World Champions, promoters and sponsors that can support my history.
Sincerely
David “Cobra” Barber
