Next MMA Fighter

While Dana White is apparently not allowed to do Video Blogs anymore, its not terrible that we will get fighter blogs leading into each event. This week its Randy Couture, thank fucking god its not Matt Serra.

According to Dana, the winner of Maia and Marquardt will be next in line for a shot at the middle weight belt. This is the fight at 102 im looking forward to most but I see this eventual title shot going to Marquardt.

More news coming out of the 102 conference that I couldnt hear today. The Sanchez / Penn fight is all but in the books and the UFC is targeting a third november date which might be used to counter program Fedors first fight for strikeforce.

If there’s one thing we cant fault Brett Rogers for, its being confident. Brett claims that he will become the “God of MMA” once he beats Fedor. I’m not saying its not possible, but you might not want to give Fedor a reason to get up for this fight.

Kenny Florian vs. Clay Guida is in the works for 106 in Las Vegas. I see this as a very interesting matchup since it will likely look like a rabid caveman going after food.

According to numerous sources Josh Barnett has tested positive for banned substances and is off the Fedor fight. M-1 Affliction has to be more than upset about this development and will be scrambling to set up a fight for Fedor.

So who does he fight now?

Andrei took a tough loss against Brett “The Grimm” Rogers last saturday at the Strikeforce event. He was KO’d in 22 seconds, almost 1/8th of the time he lasted against Fedor. We hope Andrei takes a some time and comes back to realize his former glory. ‘Cause you know it’s always badass when a fighter has vampire fangs.
