Can Lashley Be Taken Seriously?
Bobby Lashley is FURIOUS
We all know that Lashley has upside, otherwise people wouldn’t be talking about him. Sure, he has potential, but if he keeps fighting bums, it’s tough to take him seriously. On the flip side, should he be commended for taking it slow and picking off sub-par opponents? I don’t think there’s any question of his being another Brock Lesnar, but can he get there one day?
The UFC has said they aren’t paying attention to him, but I wonder if that’s true. I’m sure having him on TUF this season would have been a real test for him and a good lead-in to the UFC, so I don’t know why they didn’t get him on there. I suppose just having Kimbo is enough to generate the buzz that the UFC wanted.
Only time will tell where Lashley will land, but it’s for sure that he’s headed toward a bigger organization. Will he transition to Strikeforce next, or move straight to the UFC? I, for one, would love to see Lashley vs. Rogers.
